Here’s a Talsent Berber mid-century carpet with red, brown and white checks, coming from Morocco. Carpets from the Talsent region (far east of Morocco, on the border with Algeria) are characterized by a rich cochineal red as a base color. This piece is an elegant example of an old manufacture decorated with a small yet vivid repeating geometric element. The fleece is high and the wool is particularly soft.
