Provenienza: TURKEY
Like a mirror, the Kilim reflects the life of the woman who wove it and the culture of the group to which she belonged. It is common to find in the Kilim a symbol that contains the power of the object represented. The motif “Koçboynuzu” (Ram’s horn) which is the characterizing element in our kilim, represents virility, paternity and courage. Elements such as shadow and perspective that serve to represent external reality as they cannot be applied to weaving.
