KHOTAN

Khotan is one of the best known centers for carpet production. It is therefore natural that the rugs produced in this oasis blend the cultural experiences of these two worlds. Our specimen is decorated with the characteristic pomegranate motif. This symbol full of meaning is used in all cultures to symbolize wealth and prosperity in addition to fertility since it is full of juicy seeds. Pomegranate in China also symbolizes happiness in the family, as well as good luck for their descendants.
