The French manufacture of Aubusson is famous for the production of wall tapestries and for weaving beautiful rugs. This piece is typical of the Napoleon III era: the decorative structure is characterized by a large border decorated like stuccoes in Parisian mansions, the central motif is a triumph of flowers.
