The history of Galleria Boralevi dates back to 1930 in Venice, where Tina Boralevi
Gruenberg — a refined antiquarian and expert in art textiles — founded the first nucleus of
the family business. Her cultivated eye and passion for textile craftsmanship gave rise to a
gallery dedicated to ancient beauty, interwoven with knowledge and memory.
In the post-war period, the story took a decisive turn: Bruno Boralevi, Tina’s son, moved the
gallery to Florence, the city of art par excellence, and began a new phase specializing in
antique rugs. With philological rigor, refined taste, and entrepreneurial spirit, Bruno built
an international reputation, placing Boralevi among the leaders of the European Oriental
carpet market. His field research, relationships with major collectors and museums, and presence at the most important fairs make the gallery an authoritative and respected reference point.
