This round rug, made in England, is rare and very curious. It comes from the Eccentric Trading Company of London: a “warehouse of curiosities” that supplied film sets and theaters with everything needed for set design. Founded in 1986 by the Jordan family, the company built its reputation on well-worn, period-accurate items. As founder Spencer Jordan put it: “A good prop is something you don’t notice; if you notice it, it’s wrong.”
