The Koliai is a Persian carpet of Kurdish production.
Much of the Iranian population has Persian origins, but there are also some important minorities. One of these is that of the Kurds. Men recognize themselves by their clothing characterized by swollen pants and wide belts. The Kurds are known for their skills as knotters. The rugs are firmly knotted with a thick fleece and a rich chromatic scale. Their motifs often feature large geometric figures with bright colors.
