Its members are prized for their proud character, imbued with a unique blend of strength and creativity. Many prominent figures in Persia’s cultural and political life hail from this tribe. Knotting is the Bakhtiyari’s most practiced craft, primarily performed by women. The rugs’ style is distinctive, yet typically Persian.
