Crochet rug (Hooked rug) typical of North American crafts of the early twentieth century. These rugs were made at home by the wives of American pioneers, who lived in isolated homes, far from the comforts of the big cities. They are wool rugs, made with crochet on a ready-made tea towel. The decorations are inspired by the themes of their daily life, the decoration of this oval carpet is certainly inspired by the packs of French soaps found in the markets.
