Provenienza: PERSIAN

The word Gabbeh (from Farsi; raw, natural, uncut) describes a rough carpet and primitive motifs most often knotted by the Ghashghai nomads of the Farsi province in southwestern Iran. These rugs are probably the most well-known hand-knotted Iranian nomadic rugs. They are made of hand-spun wool, both at the level of the fleece and the warp, and the yarn is dyed using vegetable dyes. They are much thicker than other Persian rugs.
