Literally in Turkish Yastik means pillow and is to identify all those small carpets that are used for seats or, when they are padded, for sleeping. The Anatolian production is certainly the most widespread and as in our example, the decoration is taken from the larger carpets. The wool is soft and pleasant to the touch. These rugs were produced exclusively for personal use and therefore even the most recent ones retain a home flavor.
