The Ersari are a tribe of the Turkmen people from Central Asia and one of the five main tribes of the country of Turkmenistan.The archaic polygonal motif adorned with thin pendants (probably its derivation from ancient fabrics) decorates the main field of this XIX Century carpet in orderly rows: an elegant way to welcome distinguished guests under the tent.
